Today marks the release of the highly-anticipated new game Injustice: Gods Among Us from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment (WBIE), NetherRealm Studios and DC Entertainment. Injustice launches a bold new franchise to the fighting game genre from the creators of the definitive fighting game Mortal Kombat.

Featuring DC Comics icons such Batman, Cyborg, The Flash, Harley Quinn, Nightwing, Solomon Grundy, Superman and Wonder Woman, the latest title from the award-winning studio presents a deep original story where heroes and villains engage in epic battles on a massive scale.

Leading up to Injustice’s release, gamers and comic fans alike have demonstrated huge excitement and anticipation. In fact, DC Entertainment’s digital-first weekly comic based on Injustice regularly ranks #1 among all digital comic sales. Written by Tom Taylor, the book is a prequel that explores the series of events leading up to the game’s epic battles. Reviews of the comic have been off the charts, with Forbes declaring “I can’t recommend this series highly enough.” has also tapped into all the excitement for the game by partnering with WBIE to host the Injustice: Gods Among Us Battle Arena, a 10-week interactive promotion that’s like March Madness for Super Heroes. In the Battle Arena, fans vote for the DC Comics characters they think would win in a head-to-head battle. The event has led to record-breaking traffic on – be sure to visit the site this week to find out who will win the final match-up between Batman and Superman.

For those fans who like toys based on their favorite games, DC Entertainment also has a new line of Injustice: Gods Among Us action figures from DC Collectibles.
