By now, it’s plain that video did not in fact kill the radio star. Consider the iHeartRadio Music Festival: if you can’t score tickets to the star-studded musical jamboree, thanks to The CW Network, you can still have the best seats in the house. The CW announced today a three-year partnership with Clear Channel Media and Entertainment to serve as the exclusive broadcaster of the iHeartRadio Music Festival.

The CW will also broadcast iHeartRadio’s holiday Jingle Ball concert, Ultimate Pool Party, album release parties and other concert specials. In addition, these music specials will be available to stream exclusively on, providing access to watch the specials anytime following the broadcasts.

"The CW is synonymous with what's now and what's next, and that includes music,” said Mark Pedowitz, President, The CW, in the announcement. “We have always been known for using the hottest, most of-the-moment music, both on our shows and in our marketing campaigns. Partnering with Clear Channel to present the biggest concert events of the year for our viewers is a natural fit for us, and also gives us more original event programming throughout the year."
