Time Warner Fit Nation - the company's internal wellness initiative led by Dr. Sanjay Gupta and modeled on his initiative at CNN - is in full swing for 2013, with the first walking challenge and 5k runs completed and triathlon training gearing up. While the triathlons are fast approaching and the second walking challenge is a little more than two months away, we thought we'd look back at what Time Warner's Fit Nationers have accomplished.
The first walking challenge wrapped up in April, with UK employees taking home bragging rights for averaging the most steps walked. While overall the UK came out on top, across the company Time Warner had nearly 2,500 employees take the challenge, with almost 30% walking 10,000 or more steps per day.
The 5K runs, which took place from London to LA, wrapped up late last month with large participation numbers across the company. Overall more than 1,040 Fit Nationers participated in the races.

While participants have already accomplished a lot in 2013, more highly anticipated Fit Nation events are just around the corner. Triathlon training is underway, with over 540 employees registered for one of four triathlons, the first of which will be held in the UK at the end of July. The second walking challenge begins September 9 and a number of runs at all the divisions are scheduled for the fall.
