For the month of February, Game of Thrones, known for exotic shooting locations, is putting itself on the map - literally. The Hertfordshire village of Kings Langley in partnership with HBO UK has decided to change the name of their beloved town to King's Landing next month, giving Game of Thrones fans the opportunity to physically set foot in the mythical land of Westeros.
The citizens of Kings Langley are prepping for the transition by offering Game of Thrones-inspired goods and fare. And the village’s two main signs (one of which shown above) will receive a Westeros makeover, reading "King's Landing" for the month of February.
A note to travelers: if you happen to venture to "King's Landing" next month, be sure to take your picture next to the sign and tweet @HBO_UK including the hashtag #KingsLandingUK. This will enter you in a drawing for a chance to win a Blu-ray copy of the first three seasons of Game of Thrones.
