Late last month, Adult Swim's Rick and Morty came away from the 2018 LIMA Awards as a big winner.

LIMA—the International Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association—is the leading trade organization for the global licensing industry. Each year, the organization recognizes licensing innovation and creativity that impacted the worldwide marketplace during the previous calendar year, and this year Adult Swim and Cartoon Network Enterprises' Rick and Morty took the prize in the "Film / Television / Entertainment – Animated" category.

“This was an outstanding year for the LIMA Awards program. Not only did we receive a record 700 submissions, but 42% of the nominees originated from outside the US,” said LIMA President Charles Riotto in the official announcement, noting, “Winners truly exemplify the very best of our global industry. They are innovative leaders in their respective categories and across the licensing landscape.”
