It's not news to us, but the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History is discovering why entertainment matters in America.

Through its "The American Scene: A National Culture Collecting Project," the museum is studying the history of American entertainment through oral history interviews with some of America’s culture makers, and among those interviewed are three "generations" of Warner Bros. management.

The project's site presents a series of excerpts from interviews that were conducted between October 2016 and December 2017, and you can read recollections from Bob Daly, Barry Meyer and current Chairman and CEO Kevin Tsujihara, among many other cultural influences.

Check out The American Scene and you'll know, too, why entertainment matters.
