Leading the Trend on Executive Recruitment

10 Oct 2012 - By TW Staff

Time Warner was one of the first Fortune 500 companies to build its own in-house executive recruitment team, and, according to The Wall Street Journal today, has utilized it to fill several thousand senior spots over the past few years.

Under Maggie Rubey Lynch, Time Warner’s SVP, Worldwide Recruitment & Executive Search, a 30-person team searches for and places executives from more than 30 countries in positions across Time Warner’s business units.

The idea is that using internal executive recruiters who have a deep understanding of the company’s operations and culture contributes to quicker and more effective hiring. And, according to The Journal report, other companies are following this growing trend, with at least 25% of Fortune 500 firms appointing heads of executive recruitment in-house.
