Argo Wins Top Critics’ Choice Awards

Last night, Warner Bros.’ Argo, directed by and starring Ben Affleck, was named Best Picture and also won the honor of Best Director at the 18th Annual Critics’ Choice Award. This comes on the heels of Argo’s seven Oscar nominations this week, including one for Best Picture. The film, based on declassified true events, takes viewers along on a life-or-death covert operation to rescue six Americans during the Iran hostage crisis. The awards are chosen by the Broadcast Film Critics Association, and this year’s ceremony was broadcast on The CW. See the full list of winners here.
