Argo’s win for best picture is the fourth time a Time Warner film has won the coveted Best Picture Award in the past decade. The 85th Academy Awards was a big night for Warner Bros. overall, with three Oscars.

Warner Bros.’ Argo took the awards for film editing (for William Goldenberg) and Best Adapted Screenplay (for writer Chris Terrio) before taking the big prize for Best Picture. The win caps a fantastic awards season, during which Argo took top honors at the DGA, Critics Choice and Golden Globe awards.

The other Time Warner Best Picture winners over the past decade included Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003), Million Dollar Baby (2004) and The Departed (2006).

Like the Academy and so many others, we congratulate the cast, crew and producers of Argo, and all our colleagues at Warner Bros. for their well-deserved recognition.
