These Girls Are Super

The world knows Supergirl as the mighty cousin of a certain fellow native of the planet Krypton featured in DC Comics. But thanks to Warner Bros. Consumer Products’ (WBCP) Supergirl is soaring in other ways—including as the title sponsor of the Supergirl Jam Series, which next month brings together top female snowboarders for the only televised, all-female, pro slope-style snowboarding competition in the United States. The event, called Supergirl Snow Pro, takes place on April 6 and will be broadcast on Fox Sports Net in the fall.

WBCP has developed Supergirl into a lifestyle brand that reinforces strength, empowerment, and independence in juniors, tweens and young girls. Some of the athletes involved in the Series competitions even act as brand ambassadors, promoting what being a Supergirl means.

“We’re thrilled to be bringing the renowned symbol of female empowerment, the Supergirl S-Shield (see below), to the slopes for the first time ever,” said Karen McTier, executive vice president, domestic sales and worldwide marketing, Warner Bros. Consumer Products. “The Supergirl Snow Pro will bring together some of the best female athletes in the world as they vie for the top spot by showing off their snowboarding super powers.”

The Supergirl Snow Pro takes place April 6 at the Park Lane Terrain Park at Breckenridge Resort in Breckenridge, Colorado. You can learn more about the Supergirl community at www.Supergirl.com or on Facebook.
