Warner Wins at the Hollywood Film Awards

Last night, winners of the 2013 Hollywood Film Awards, which honor excellence in the art of filmmaking, were announced. During the ceremony at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, four Warner Bros. films received recognition.

  • Academy Award-winner Sandra Bullock, star of the epic sci-fi thriller Gravity, received the Hollywood Actress Award.

  • Jake Gyllenhaal received the Hollywood Supporting Actor Award for his portrayal of Detective Loki, the lead investigator of a kidnapping case in Prisoners. His co-star Viola Davis presented him with the award.

  • The Hollywood Visual Effects Award was presented by Pacific Rim's Robert Kazinsky to the film's visual effects supervisor, John Knoll.

  • Brian Helgeland, writer and director of the Jackie Robinson biopic 42, presented the final award of the night – the Hollywood Career Award – to Harrison Ford, who plays the owner of the Brooklyn Dodgers in the film.
