After Saturday's world premiere of the Veronica Mars movie at Austin's South by Southwest festival, Mars mania headed east for the New York City screening at AMC Loews Lincoln Center (see photos below). Kristen Bell, Chris Lowell and director Rob Thomas were all on hand to celebrate the crowd-sourced movie.

Even if you didn't catch Mars fever during the series' TV run, you've most likely seen a headline or two about the movie's record-breaking Kickstarter campaign. And if you were one of the 91,000+ backers and paid $750 or more toward seeing Mars in theaters, you were rewarded with a special screening and after-party at SXSW. That's on top of seeing the movie made, of course.

"This is such an extra-special experience," said Bell at the premiere. "It's so humbling to know that the reason we're here is because of our Kickstarter friends. We don't take that lightly that you guys are the reason this movie got made."

She thought she was out, but this Friday she's back and bringing her special brand of crime-solving to the big screen.  Watch the theatrical trailer below or click here to watch the first eight minutes.

Veronica Mars hits theaters this Friday, March 14.
