Turner Celebrates National Bracket Day

Even if you aren’t Irish (or claim to be once a year), you still had something to celebrate yesterday: National Bracket Day. The nationwide celebration marks the beginning of NCAA March Madness and the start of the 2014 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship on TBS, CBS, TNT and truTV tonight.

National Bracket Day pop-up stations were set up in key markets across the country including Atlanta, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles and New York and featured large-scale brackets spanning dozens of feet and highlighting this year’s 68 selected teams. Coffee, treats and themed merchandise were handed out to fans by hundreds of street team personnel and Instabracket machines were on hand for those that need a little extra help making those tough decisions. The pop-up stations also offered tablets with access to Bleacher Report's National Bracket Day hub and specially designed tweet-activated vending machines dispensed March Madness-themed prizes to fans in Atlanta and New York when they tweeted their Final Four picks to a special hashtag.
