Docs and Bourdain Score Peabody Awards

The 73rd Annual Peabody Awards, which recognize excellence and meritorious work in electronic media, were announced today. Three HBO documentaries, along with CNN's Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown and Turner Classic Movies' 15-part retrospective The Story of Film were among the recipients.

HBO's three wins included Life According to Sam, the touching story of a teenager with Progeria, Mea Maxima Culpa: Silence in the House of God, an investigation into the crimes of a Milwaukee priest, and Six by Sondheim, an intimate look at the life and art of legendary composer-lyricist Stephen Sondheim.
