On Saturday, comedy legend and humanitarian Jerry Lewis was celebrated at the TCM Classic Film Festival with hand and footprint ceremony in front of the TCL Chinese Theater in Los Angeles and a screening of one of his most popular films, The Nutty Professor. Fans and friends turned out to honor Lewis, including director Quentin Tarantino, comedian Dane Cook, actress Illeana Douglas and comedian Richard Lewis.

TCM host Robert Osborne reflected, “Jerry Lewis is a very important name whenever movie comedy is discussed and enjoyed. Jerry has provided the world with great merriment and laughter, while also showing, in such films as Martin Scorsese’s The King of Comedy, what an exceptional dramatic actor he can be.”
