ArtsConnection Honors Time Warner
Last night at the ArtsConnection 35th Anniversary Benefit, Time Warner was honored for its commitment to the arts and community. Actor Jeffrey Wright presented the award, which was accepted by Lisa Garcia Quiroz, Time Warner's Chief Diversity Officer and Senior Vice President of Corporate Responsibility.
“Time Warner Inc. understands the power of storytelling to move people, change hearts and minds and build bridges to the future,” said Wright. “Every day, through HBO, Time Inc., Warner Bros., and Turner Broadcasting, the people of Time Warner create and share great stories with audiences all around the world. And for more than 20 years they have been helping ArtsConnection create and share its story with young people all across our city.”
Through its support of ArtsConnection and many other philanthropic initiatives, Time Warner creates access to the arts, building community and opening minds while constantly pursuing new and better ways to inspire and share the creative work of others, particularly those whose diverse voices might otherwise not be told.
The benefit, which was MC'd by CNN's Don Lemon, raised funds to support New York City public school students through ArtsConnection's arts education initiatives.
