NBA Digital—the extensive cross-platform portfolio of digital assets jointly managed by the NBA and Turner Sports— is redesigning all 30 NBA team websites, making the NBA the first professional sports league to feature league-wide responsive team sites. The responsive sites will enhance usability, performance and capability of the league’s team sites across devices, providing fans with a seamless and consistent experience when accessing team news, extensive video highlights, player features and more on their devices of choice.
“We’ve seen record growth across mobile platforms and moving to a responsive design helps us deliver the best fan experience across all screens,” said Christina Miller, senior vice president and general manager of NBA Digital. “All 30 NBA teams can now create and customize content through highly visual, dynamic sites"
So far, 15 teams have unveiled responsive sites – Boston Celtics, Charlotte Hornets, Cleveland Cavaliers, Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets, Detroit Pistons, Los Angeles Lakers, Milwaukee Bucks, Minnesota Timberwolves, New Orleans Pelicans, New York Knicks, Orlando Magic, Philadelphia 76ers, Sacramento Kings and Utah Jazz – with the rest to launch in the coming weeks.
