HBO, Turner Win Sports Emmys

The winners of the 36th Annual Sports Emmy Awards were announced during a ceremony last night at Jazz at Lincoln Center's Frederick P. Rose Hall in New York City. HBO and Turner received four Emmys in total, including Outstanding Sports Journalism and Outstanding Sports Personality – Studio Host.

HBO's Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel won the Emmy for Outstanding Sports News Anthology and Outstanding Sports Journalism, and Hard Knocks topped the Outstanding Music Composition/Direction/Lyrics category.

NBA on TNT host Ernie Johnson received the Emmy for Outstanding Sports Personality – Studio Host, but he didn't take the award home. During his acceptance speech, Johnson acknowledged the late sportscaster Stuart Scott, giving his Emmy to Scott's two daughters.
