Turner Launches School Programs Across India

11 Aug 2015 - By TW Staff

This month, Turner kicked off its annual Cartoon Network and POGO School Contact Programs (SCPs) across India. The programs, which aim to entertain while imparting valuable lessons, target students throughout Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, Lucknow, Kolkata, Ludhiana, Hyderabad, Kanpur, Ahmedabad and Amritsar.

Both Cartoon Network and POGO SCPs are themed around the channels' hit series and use games, trivia, prizes and more to provide valuable lessons—like the importance of physical and mental health—to more than one million kids. The SCPs are scheduled to run through mid-September in approximately 1,000 schools.

Cartoon Network's SCP, "Adventure Camp," is themed around the hit series Adventure Time and aims to bring adventure and camping into schools by engaging kids in physical activities, mental games, sports and team building exercises, among other activities. POGO's SCP, "Bheem ka Fitness Formula," is a nationwide movement to make children fit and healthy like their favorite superhero Chhota Bheem.
