Cartoon Network, Adult Swim End 2015 on Top
For the second consecutive year, Cartoon Network is the only top kids channel to show growth across all platforms. For the first time in its history, Cartoon Network is also on track to end 2015 as television's #1 ad-supported network with kids 6-11.
Contributing to a successful 2015, Cartoon Network premiered the year's #1 new animated series, We Bare Bears, and delivered triple-digit growth for the Cartoon Network app. The network also received Peabody and Emmy Awards for its critically acclaimed series Adventure Time and Over the Garden Wall, respectively.
Likewise, Adult Swim had an outstanding year. For the eleventh consecutive year Adult Swim is basic cable's #1 network in total day with young adults (18-24 and 18-34).
Hit series and critical favorite Rick and Morty returned for its second season with double digit growth, and along with the network’s expanding list of originals series (Black Jesus, Mr. Pickles, Mike Tyson Mysteries) helped Adult Swim also win in primetime with 18-34 year olds. Adult Swim finished the year with a 94% lead over the closest network based on delivery of adults 18-34.
