Volunteering for the Holidays, Like We Do

17 Dec 2015 - By TW Staff

As you know, Time Warner’s employees spend a lot of time giving back to the communities in which they live and, this holiday season, things are no different.

Last week members and allies of Out at Time Warner, the company’s LGBT business resource group (BRG), gathered to package meals and work in the kitchen of God’s Love We Deliver, the New York City metropolitan area's leading provider of nutritious, individually-tailored meals to people who are too sick to shop or cook for themselves. See photos from the volunteer day below.

Founded at the beginning of the AIDS crisis and originally serving those afflicted with the disease, God's Love has expanded its reach to assist clients with a wide variety of life-altering illnesses.

Also last week, another group of employees from a number of different departments descended on the New York Common Pantry to pack and distribute nutritious and free groceries to low-income families. You can see the team in action below.

Earlier in December, members of V!VA, Time Warner's business resource group celebrating Latino/Hispanic culture, volunteered with City Harvest, the world's first food rescue organization. Since pioneering the food-rescue model in 1982, City Harvest has collected and distributed over 500 million pounds of healthy food to New York's neediest citizens.
