DiversityInc recently announced its annual Top 50 Companies for Diversity list, and Time Warner is honored to have landed on the list.

Coming in at #37 -- four places higher than its #41 ranking in 2015 -- Time Warner was recognized for the sixth consecutive year, this time for initiatives like the OneFifty program, which seeks out diverse talent to tell stories from unique perspectives at HBO, Turner and Warner Bros.

“At Time Warner, advancing diversity in both our workforce and the content we create and share is a business priority,” said Time Warner Chairman and CEO Jeff Bewkes in a statement. “Without cultivating new voices and tapping into diverse talent, we would not be able to fulfill our mission of delivering great storytelling to an increasingly global and multicultural audience.”

The recognition comes after Time Warner was honored last month by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation for achieving a perfect score on its Corporate Equality Index.

Added Lisa Garcia Quiroz, Time Warner's Chief Diversity Officer and Senior Vice President: “Our success as a business is directly correlated to our ongoing efforts to attract diverse talent and maintain a progressive and inclusive environment where employees can thrive, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity or sexual orientation. Time Warner’s diverse workplace strengthens our ability to create content that resonates with audiences across the globe.”
