Piling on the Peabodys
The Peabody Awards Board of Jurors yesterday announced the final group of honorees named to The Peabody 30, adding Documentary and Educational winners to the previously announced winners in the News, Radio/Podcast, Public Service, and Entertainment and Children's categories.
Four HBO Documentary Films titles were among the winners, including

The documentaries join HBO's two other honorees, Warner Bros. Television-produced The Leftovers (in the Entertainment category) and Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel's exposé on the African ivory trade, "The Killing Fields" (in the News category).
The Peabody Awards began in 1940 as a "Pulitzer Prize for radio," and have grown steadily since to recognize excellence in a wide range of electronic media. Learn more about these prestigious awards at peabodyawards.com.
