Suicide Squad to Storm Comic-Con with Exclusive VR
This week, Warner Bros. will debut exclusive virtual reality content to show fans exactly what it's like to ride shotgun with Deadshot, Harley Quinn and The Joker.
Already the most buzzed about movie on social media, Suicide Squad will storm San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday, July 21. As part of a collaboration with Samsung Electronics America, Inc., the highly-anticipated film will put fans at Comic-Con directly inside a scene using Samsung Gear VR powered by Oculus. The exclusive content will then be available on the platform beginning August 5, when Suicide Squad hits theaters nationwide.
Gene Garlock, Warner Bros. Pictures Executive Vice President, Worldwide Promotional Alliances and Partnerships, said in a statement: “We’re absolutely delighted to be working with Samsung Electronics via such a broad and inventive partnership. Our collective aim is to reward fans of the property both in the consumer market and by giving them the chance to immerse themselves in a virtual environment alongside the Suicide Squad characters in a most realistic and exciting way.”
