We Do Need Another Hero

Now in its tenth year, CNN Heroes continues to recognize everyday people for their extraordinary efforts to change the world. Anderson Cooper will be joined by Kelly Ripa in honoring this year's Top 10 CNN Heroes during the CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute telecast, airing live on CNN and CNNgo Sunday, December 11 at 8 p.m. ET from the American Museum of Natural History in New York City.

You can help choose the CNN Hero of the Year through December 6 at midnight PT, by voting for the CNN Hero who inspires you the most.

There are multiple ways to vote: at CNNHeroes.com, logging in via email or Facebook, as well as on Facebook Messenger by messaging VOTE to the CNN Heroes Facebook page, and on Twitter by tweeting #HeroesVote along with the name of your preferred hero. You may vote up to 10 times a day, per method.

Each of the Top 10 CNN Hero will be awarded $10,000, while the CNN Hero of the Year receives an additional $100,000 award to help their cause and free organizational training from the Annenberg Foundation—a customized version of the Annenberg Alchemy program, which offers practical guidance to help strengthen organizations for long-term success.
