Super Awesome: Watch the Library of Awesome Event

3 Apr 2018 - By TW Staff

A couple weeks ago we told you about the Library of Congress' "Library of Awesome" event celebrating the 1000th issue of the seminal DC Comics series Action Comics and Superman's 80th anniversary.

The Washington, D.C.-set event coincided with Awesome Con, which opened last Friday.

If you couldn't be in Washington, don't worry: The event was streamed, and you can watch it in its entirety below.

The evening featured a live interview with two DC legends. Former publisher and president of DC, Paul Levitz, joined legendary DC writer and artist Dan Jurgens (known for his work on the Superman series and the pop culture phenomenon The Death of Superman) for a conversation about the history of superhero comics, the writers and artists who create them and Superman's legacy. Levitz and Jurgens were interviewed by Michael Cavna, creator of the Eisner-nominated “Comic Riffs” column for The Washington Post.

Watch the event below, and be sure to pick up your copy of Action Comics: 80 Years of Superman April 18.
