HBO Presents the 2018 New York Latino Film Festival
HBO is sponsoring the 2018 New York Latino Film Festival (NYLFF), continuing its role as founding sponsor as the festival returns this summer.
The NYLFF is the country's premier urban Latino film event. Since its founding in 1999, the NYLFF ha produced culturally relevant and entertaining experiences that build audiences for Latino cinema, supported the film community with professional development and fostered relationships for Latino talent. In addition to the flagship film festival in New York City, it also produces competition programs for Latino artists and programs benefiting the Latino community.
“Latinos’ high movie-going rate is a fact the entertainment industry is paying attention to," said HBO's Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Corporate Social Responsibility Dennis Williams. "That makes the NYLFF more important than ever. In offering a platform where Latinos are able to develop their own stories and have their voices represented, the NYLFF is the perfect venue to cultivate the next generation in film. HBO is honored to be a part of the conversation and help showcase tremendous talent during this momentous time in our industry.”
