Black Lightning Gives Back to Austin

4 Jun 2018 - This post originally appeared on the WB Good blog.

Black Lightning stars Cress Williams, Christine Adams, Nafessa Williams and Marvin Jones spent the afternoon with the kids of Boys & Girls Club of Austin, Texas and surprised them with a donation.

On the show, Jefferson Pierce, and his super hero persona Black Lightning, keeps the streets of his hometown safe by harnessing his powers of electricity and serving as the principal of the local high school.  As a way to channel Black Lightning’s super hero spirit, the cast of “Black Lightning” charged up the kids to shoot some hoops and presented a grant to help further the nonprofit’s mission.

For over a century, the Boys & Girls Club has provided kids with opportunities to belong, succeed, serve their communities and share their voice with the world.  WB Good believes in inspiring those new voices and the next generation of young storytellers.

WB Good was proud to partner with CW Good to amplify the CW’s commitment to raising awareness for charitable causes and inspiring audiences to make the world a better place.
