Impractical Jokers: Their Embarrassment Is Our Fun

Who would have thought pranking your buddies would turn into an international hit show with a growing fandom? truTV is thinking – ummm – we did. The success of Impractical Jokers” has continued to grow and this summer was no exception. Joe, Murr, Q and Sal, the four comedians featured in the series, threw a massive fan event in San Diego, are currently being featured in a new museum exhibit (seriously, no joke), shot a movie this summer, and their new episodes premiere on truTV on Thursday, August 2 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.

First, about that museum gig… in July, the Staten Island Museum began featuring a new exhibit dedicated to the four outrageous pranksters. "Impractical Jokers: Homecoming" showcases all sorts of iconic props, costumes and behind-the-scenes goodies from the hit show. It timelines these four Staten Island natives who made it all the way from high school together, to their improv troupe “The Tenderloins,” to a hit television show, to a movie, and finally to sell-out performances at Madison Square Garden. Not bad for a bunch lifelong friends who just like to embarrass each other!

As if trying to one-up themselves, following their exhibit launch, they took San Diego by storm yet again with the third annual “Impractical Jokers” Block Party fan event on July 21. This gathering had it all: zip lines, great food, entertainment, sneak peeks at their new mobile game, an autograph signing and a live web show with the guys themselves. Also included was an exclusive screening of the mid-season premiere

Speaking of that premiere, don’t forget to tune in Thursday, August 2 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on truTV for a new batch of episodes. You can learn more about the show here and stay tuned for exclusive info on the “Impractical Jokers” movie, which also filmed this summer in Atlanta.
