This summer, the seven-week Girls Who Code Summer Immersion Program returned to Warner Bros. Technology for the second year in a row. The program, providing girls from diverse backgrounds the opportunity to receive in-depth coding and technology training, allows WB Tech to expose a group of young women to the possibilities of a career in technology and entertainment.
Following the success of last year’s program, this summer exceeded all expectations. Many of the students who participated in the Summer Immersion Program have stated that their hands-on experience at WB has cemented a desire to pursue degrees and careers in technology.
WB Tech, led by Chief Technology Officer Vicky Colf, values every opportunity to provide access and resources to the next generation of storytellers and technologists. Their continued partnership with Girls Who Code, a nonprofit committed to closing the gender gap in technology, reflects an ongoing focus on investing in underrepresented communities.
