Warner Bros. Honored for Empowering Young Storytellers
Last week, Warner Bros. was honored for their commitment to inspiring the next generation of writers during Young Storyteller’s annual event, “The Biggest Show.”
The star-studded event took place at the Ace Hotel Theater in Los Angeles, California, where actors such as Olivia Munn and Cedric the Entertainer performed scripts written by middle school students.
The show celebrated the hard work and creativity of over 2,000 students who participated in Story Labs—a semester-long program developed by Warner Bros. in partnership with LAUSD and Young Storytellers.
Students were taught key storytelling skills in the program and had the opportunity to explore their personal voice through self-reflection and imagination. The Story Labs curriculum also
incorporated DC Super Heroes to help students identify the heroes in their lives and realize their own creative powers.
Thanks to Warner Bros. support, middle-school students across the Los Angeles area were able to participate in Story Labs this year and have their stories brought to life.
