'I Am the Night' Brings Some Serious Drama to NY, LA and TNT
The TNT limited series premieres Monday, Jan. 28, at 9 p.m. ET on TNT. It stars Pine and India Eisley and is inspired by some seriously creepy true events. I Am the Night tells the gripping tale of Fauna Hodel (Eisley,) a teenage girl given away at birth who begins to investigate the secrets of her past. Enter Chris Pine, playing a reporter haunted by a case that was his undoing.
As the two dive deeper into these mysteries, one of the most infamous unsolved crimes enters the picture – The Black Dahlia Murder of 1947.
To help build on that sense of danger and allure leading up to the debut, TNT is holding several premiere events, including an influencer gathering at the famed Sowden House which serves as one of the beautifully mysterious back drops for the series, and is basically a character unto itself. The Hollywood mansion, designed by renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright’s son Lloyd in 1926, has been rumored for years to possibly hold the key to the infamous Black Dahlia murder case.
The influencer event featured a Q&A with director Patty Jenkins and stars Chris Pine, India Eisley, Jefferson Mays and Sam Sheridan. There are also exclusive premiere events at Chateau Marmont in Hollywood and Lafayette House in New York.
In addition, TNT and Cadence 13, a leading podcast media company, have also revealed the audio trailer for a unique and groundbreaking podcast documentary series called Root of Evil: The True Story of the Hodel Family and the Black Dahlia. This companion to I Am the Night premieres Wednesday, Feb. 13 and is available on Apple Podcasts and wherever podcasts are available.
Be sure to tune in to the premiere of the TNT Suspense Collection’s limited series, I Am the Night, Monday, Jan. 28, at 9 p.m. ET on TNT.
