Can you be-leaf it? 24-hour Adult Swim channel launches in Canada

Corus Entertainment is launching the world’s first ever 24-hour Adult Swim channel in Canada starting April 1, 2019. Awesome news, eh?

Though it commences on April Fool’s, the partnership is no joke.

Traditionally, Adult Swim airs on Cartoon Network from 8 p.m. – 6 a.m. ET, but thanks to the new partnership, Cartoon Network’s nightly sibling will be available to Canadian audiences 24 hours a day, seven days a week. 

The new channel will feature iconic Adult Swim series such as “Rick and Morty,” “Robot Chicken,” “The Eric Andre Show” and more, engaging viewers around the clock with its vast portfolio of premium content.

“Adult Swim is that rare brand, like no other, that connects with its fans on multiple levels,” said Erik Resnick, Senior Vice President of Business Development and Commercial Strategy for Adult Swim. “A 24/7 channel in Canada is the perfect fit as we continue to expand into global markets.”

Since the network’s launch in 2001, Adult Swim has captivated audiences with its unique cartoons and comedy, becoming the #1 network in the U.S. with adults aged 18-34 for 14 straight years.

To celebrate the ground-breaking news, the Rickmobile hit the road for its first-ever Canadian tour.

Inspired by the network’s Emmy-award-winning series “Rick and Morty,” the Rickmobile cruised through the country April 1, giving fans a chance to grab some swag and get schwifty all day long.  The pop-up shop stopped in downtown Toronto hitting areas such as Sugar Beach and Yonge-Dundas Square.

The festivities didn’t stop there. On Wednesday, April 3, Corus Entertainment hosted a launch party to celebrate the cheeky new channel. With talent including Sarah Chalke from “Rick and Morty,” in attendance, the event was as wonderful as the partnership it’s honoring.


After all the celebrations, Burger King and are keeping the party bumpin’ as the official launch sponsors of the new 24-hour channel. The partnership includes robust on-air sponsorship packages, original on-air bumps, and custom promotional creative.
