New ‘Big Little Lies’ season 2 trailer has everyone screaming
Head back to Monterey, Calif., where the littlest lies create the biggest problems. What started as a schoolyard scandal has turned into a monster murder mystery (and a Primetime Emmy, Golden Globe, SAG, Critic’s Choice, Writer’s Guild and DGA-award winning series), and it isn’t going away anytime soon. The highly-anticipated return of David E. Kelley drama adaptation, “Big Little Lies,” returns Sunday, June 9 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, exclusively on HBO. And no one will stop screaming until the truth is revealed.
The seven-episode second season will dive deep into the malignancy of lies, the durability of friendships, the fragility of marriage and the vicious ferocity of sound parenting. Relationships will fray, loyalties will erode and the potential for injury (both emotional and bodily) loom large.
“The Monterey Five,” featuring a powerhouse of female leads – Reese Witherspoon (Madeline), Nicole Kidman (Celeste), Shailene Woodley (Jane), Laura Dern (Renata) and Zoë Kravitz (Bonnie), are all returning, accompanied by the one and only Meryl Streep as Celeste’s mother-in-law who is determined to find answers. Adam Scott (Ed), James Tupper (Nathan) and Jeffrey Nordling (Gordon) will also reprise their roles.
So basically, season two is going to be amazing! Thank you, HBO for bringing back the lies that hold our lives together. I SAID THANK YOUUUUU!
