Let’s fight! ‘Mortal Kombat 11’ is back for more Kompetition
It’s time to get your thumbs in shape – Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment’s latest installment of the critically-acclaimed “Mortal Kombat” video game is coming soon to a video console near you. “Mortal Kombat 11” will take a time-traveling twist with fighters from the present going back to the past to battle against their formal selves and hear the iconic words, “Let’s fight!”
This latest installment in the series will include new gameplay, story mode, along with new and original fighters, including fan favorites Scorpion, Raiden, Sub-Zero, Kitana, and Shao Khan. The new features make the game a more immersive and personalized experience for players. UFC champion, Olympic medalist and WWE superstar, Ronda Rousey, was announced as the voice of Sonya Blade, a dream for the “Mortal Kombat” fan.
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, NetherRealm Studios and Intersport also announced the “Mortal Kombat 11 Pro Kompetition,” which will offer combatants of all ranks a chance to compete in nine different live tournaments across North America, Latin America and Europe. Participants will compete for a $155,000 prize pool with the top 16 players qualifying for Final Kombat, the championship finale and an additional $100,000 prize pool.
To find out which players end up with an unfortunate “FATALITY,” “Mortal Kombat 11” is available now for pre-order online and everywhere on April 23. For more details, click here.
