Rick and Morty join fans at London and Paris Comic Cons
As fandom for Rick and Morty grows around the world, the UK, French and EMEA central teams set out to offer an unforgettable experience at MCM Comic Cons, which took place in London and Paris last weekend – attended by over 160,000 people. At the center of the action was Rick’s garage, a fundamental location in the show and unmistakably recognized by fans. This made the garage the obvious choice to bring to life in Paris and London, allowing fans to immerse themselves in the world of Rick and Morty.
The garage setting offered fans the chance to interact with bespoke props and even get their hands on Rick’s iconic portal gun. In London, they could transport through the intergalactic portal to a Forbidden Planet pop up shop featuring exclusive Rick and Morty products and pose with an epic five-foot Pickle Rick statue. The ultimate selfie moment! Tens of thousands of Rick masks were also given out during the three-day event in both cities.
In addition to visiting Rick’s garage in Paris, fans could be pictured with a crash-landed replica of Rick’s spaceship and attend an exclusive Adult Swim screening event, organized as part of a media partnership between Adult Swim France and the convention. Highlighting the newly launched Adult Swim channel in France, the screening featured fan favorite series, including Rick and Morty, Robot Chicken, Final Space, Samurai Jack and Genndy Tartakovsky’s Primal.
These activities were the result of a great collaboration between WarnerMedia’s EMEA central, UK and French teams to provide a “schwifty” experience for fans. Together with the thousands of photos and social media posts, the buzz for season four’s imminent launch is well and truly on a high.
