WarnerMedia Nabs 11 Oscar Nominations
WarnerMedia receives 11 Oscar nominations heading into the 91st Annual Academy Awards on Feb. 24 in Hollywood.
Striking Gold at the Oscars
Legendary cinematographer Roger Deakins won for Blade Runner 2049, which also took home the Oscar for Best Visual Effects.
Dunkirk took the sound awards, winning for Sound Editing and Sound Mixing, and also won the award for Film Editing.
HBO and Warner Bros. Score Oscar Noms
Awards season is in full swing, and HBO and Warner Bros. are racking up some serious nominations. Today the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences announced nominations for the 88th Annual Academy Awards, with 14 nods going to Time Warner’s divisions. Mad Max: Fury Road is nominated in 10 categories including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Cinematography. Another win could be in the cards for Sylvester Stallone as he was nominated for an Oscar for Actor in a Supporting Role for Creed.
