Turner Launches School Programs Across India
This month, Turner kicked off its annual Cartoon Network and POGO School Contact Programs (SCPs) across India. The programs, which aim to entertain while imparting valuable lessons, target students throughout Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, Lucknow, Kolkata, Ludhiana, Hyderabad, Kanpur, Ahmedabad and Amritsar.
Chamki ki Duniya Launches on POGO
Turner Broadcasting and non-profit educational organization Sesame Workshop announced the launch of Chamki ki Duniya, a new educational series for preschoolers airing on POGO. Chamki ki Duniya is the second venture between Turner and Sesame Workshop. Previously, both companies had partnered to create five seasons of Galli Galli Sim Sim, the Indian adaptation of the popular American series, Sesame Street.
POGO Expands to Thailand
Beginning today, POGO, Turner's only-for-India kids’ entertainment network, is available on the Thai free-to-air broadcaster Channel 3. This marks the brand's first such extension beyond India, following in the footsteps of Thailand launches for Boomerang and Toonami.
The channel will feature a two-hour programming block daily of both POGO's animated and live-action original content, such as M.A.D (Music, Art and Dance) and F.A.Q (a science show for inquisitive youngsters), among others.
