Sarah always knew she’d work in Marketing, but never expected she’d do it in the Media & Entertainment industry because it seems so difficult to break into. Eight years after joining Warner Bros. in the UK, she’s worked for two divisions within Warner Bros. on two different continents, and recently joined HBO Home Entertainment as the Director of Product Management.

Upon graduating from the University of Western Ontario, Sarah went to work for BMW/Mini Group in Toronto for 5 years, building her expertise in marketing, creative merchandising, brand image and partnerships, promotions, retail and digital campaigns. Sarah went to London and joined Warner Bros. Consumer Products, developing strategic associations to build brand awareness and maximize retail exposure. Sarah then moved back to Toronto to join Warner Bros. Home Entertainment to focus on marketing and promoting home video through various channels, and a few years later she moved into an Account Management role to develop a different set of skills and knowledge. Sarah has parlayed her varied experience to lead marketing and strategic product plans in her new role at HBO.

What do you love most about working for HBO and Warner Bros.?

“We are industry leaders that set the precedent for innovation, content, and technology.

In just a few months, I’ve been able to play a meaningful part in the planning and execution to launch Game of Throne’s Season 5 on blu-ray and DVD, and for the first time ever we’ve partnered with the Toronto Maple Leafs to do in-arena promotions.

I’ve had the opportunity to build strong relationships globally; we are very well connected internationally.”
