Presents Superstar Comic in His First Solo HBO Special, Debuting May 16

He's recorded hit albums, written best-selling books and headlined his own network comedy series. Now, HBO COMEDY HOUR: JEFF FOXWORTHY: TOTALLY COMMITTED spotlights the superstar comic in his first HBO special, debuting SATURDAY, MAY 16 (9:30-10:30 p.m. ET). Taped at the Taft Theatre in Cincinnati this February, the stand-up special features Foxworthy's thoughts on marriage, children, family and growing old, as well as his signature observations on life in the South.

Other playdates: May 20 (12:40 a.m.), 26 (10:15 p.m.), 28 (4:15 a.m.) and 31 (3:25 a.m.), and June 4 (12:10 a.m.) and 8 (11:00 p.m.).

Sophisticated people play chess, rednecks amuse ourselves for hours with a sheet of bubble wrap."

A success in a variety of media, Jeff Foxworthy's three albums have sold more than seven million copies. His debut album, entitled "You Might Be a Redneck If...," sold three million to become the best-selling comedy release of all time, while his second, "Games Rednecks Play," received a Grammy nomination. Foxworthy has also written nine popular books, including "You Might Be a Redneck If...," "Hick Is Chic: A Guide to Etiquette for the (Grossly) Unsophisticated" and "No Shirt, No Shoes, No Problem," which spent two months on the New York Times best-seller list.

Besides headlining his own network sitcom for two years, Foxworthy has previously starred in two cable stand-up specials, and has received a People's Choice Award and an American Comedy Award.
