America Online and Digital Courier Technologies Expand Video Marketing Relationship to AOL.com

Dulles, VA and San Francisco, CA, July 6, 1998 -- In an expansion of their marketing agreement announced on June 24, America Online [NYSE: AOL] and Videos Now, a division of Digital Courier Technologies, Inc. [NASDAQ: DCTI] (formerly DataMark Holding, Inc.) today announced that Videos Now will receive prominent and extensive placement throughout AOL.COM, AOL's Website and the most popular Web destination among home users. AOL and DCTI announced last week that AOL will receive guaranteed payments of $12 million from DCTI in exchange for prominent positioning throughout the AOL service and on Digital City, the most popular local city resource in cyberspace. As allowed for under the terms of the original agreement, AOL exercised its option to give Videos Now additional promotional carriage on AOL.COM in exchange for shares of DCTI common stock totaling approximately 12%, of DCTI's outstanding stock, plus warrants to purchase additional shares. Scheduled to launch in August, Videos Now will offer new releases, top sellers that are often hard to find or sold out in video stores, and film categories covering everything from foreign films to educational videos, instructional videos and children's selections. Additionally, Videos Now will offer titles in all available formats, including VHS, Beta, Laserdisc, DVD and Divx.
