Janet Jackson's new video for her song "Every Time" will make its world premiere MONDAY, OCT. 5, exclusively on HBO. The video will premiere just prior to "William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet" at 8:00 p.m. (ET), and will subsequently be seen twice a day leading up to the presentation of HBO's exclusive live concert special JANET: THE VELVET ROPE on Sunday, Oct. 11 (9:00-11:30 p.m. live ET/tape-delayed MT & PT).
"With the world premiere of her dazzling new video and the live concert special on Oct. 11, HBO will be the network for Janet Jackson fans next week," said Nancy Geller, vice president, Original Programming, HBO.
Featuring a dreamlike motif and filmed underwater, the video was directed by renowned photographer and director Matthew Rolston in association with Howard Schatz, an expert in underwater photography and creator of the book "Water Dance." The song "Every Time" is featured on Jackson's current six million-selling album "The Velvet Rope."
JANET: THE VELVET ROPE brings the international superstar's sold-out world tour to HBO in an exclusive concert event, live from New York's Madison Square Garden. Jackson's first full-length TV concert, the high-energy show will feature songs from "The Velvet Rope," including the number-one smash "Together Again," as well as many other Jackson hits. Songs scheduled to be performed include "If," "Again," "Alright," "Black Cat," "Rhythm Nation," "That's the Way Love Goes," "Control," "What Have You Done for Me Lately," "Nasty" and "When I Think of You."
