Led by the stellar series premieres of Courage The Cowardly Dog and Mike, Lu & Og on Friday, Nov. 12, the average rating of Cartoon Network's "Cartoon Cartoon Fridays" originals block (7-11 p.m.) topped all ad-supported basic cable networks among kids 2-11 (4.3), kids 6-11 (4.5), kids 9-14 (3.2) and teens 12-17 (1.5). For the evening, the four-hour programming block reached 5,460,000 different persons 2+.
The premiere telecast of Courage The Cowardly Dog (Nov. 12 at 9 p.m.) achieved the network's highest ratings ever for an original series premiere among households (2.4), kids 2-11 (5.8), kids 6-11 (6.1) and teens 12-17 (2.0). In addition, the premiere's ratings showed huge increases over the previous year's time period among households (+60 percent), kids 2-11 (+71 percent), kids 6-11 (+126 percent) and teens 12-17 (+300 percent).
The Mike, Lu & Og series premiere (Nov. 12 at 8 p.m.) increased ratings by 31 percent among households (1.7), 22 percent with kids 2-11 (3.9), 64 percent with kids 6-11 (4.1) and 143 percent with teens 12-17 (1.7).
For the week of Nov. 8-14 in prime time, Cartoon Network tied as the fourth-highest-rated ad-supported cable network, posting a 1.8 household rating (+29 percent), 3.8 kids 2-11 rating (+23 percent) and 3.4 kids 6-11 rating (+55 percent).
