In this third edition of the Latin Grammy®- nominated series, Musical Sensation Farruko remixes classic hits, in a stunning performance on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico

New York, N.Y. - In the latest edition of En Letra de Otro, Puerto Rican reggaeton artist Farruko creates his own version of classic hit songs, shares stories from his childhood, and reveals his musical inspirations in FARRUKO: EN LETRA DE OTRO. This exclusive concert special will premiere on HBO Latino® Friday, August 23rd at 8pm ET and will simultaneously be available on HBO GO®, HBO NOW®, HBO On Demand® and partners’ streaming platforms. A link to the special’s trailer can be found HERE.

In this visually stunning performance filmed in Puerto Rico, Farruko sings his favorite songs that have inspired him throughout his career, and will be featured in his forthcoming album Farruko: En Letra de Otro, executive produced by Sharo Towers, releasing on Aug 23, by Sony Music Latin. His electrifying performances are intercut with intimate conversations about his upbringing and musical influences. Frankie Ruiz’s “Vuelvo a Nacer,” Jerry Rivera’s “Qué Hay de Malo,” Yandel’s “Te Suelto el Pelo,” Divino’s “Me Trancaron” and Ricardo Arjona’s “Asignatura Pendiente” are some of the songs included in the special.

Farruko, a singer-songwriter from Bayamon, Puerto Rico, consistently demonstrates his dominion over most urban music subgenres from reggaeton to trap, and has swept Billboard's "Top Latin Albums," "Top Latin Songs," charts, dominating the coveted top positions for several weeks at a time. Farruko became a Latin Grammy® winner for his single “6 AM” featuring J Balvin, taking home the award for Best Urban Song. His international hits include: “Passion Whine” featuring Sean Paul, “Sunset” featuring Shaggy and Nicky Jam, and “Krippy Kush” featuring Bad Bunny. His collaboration with Pedro Capó, the first artist featured in HBO Latino’s first edition of En Letra de Otro, on “Calma (Remix)” was #1 on YouTube’s Top Tracks & Top Video Global Charts for four weeks and has garnered over 1.2 billion views.

This is the third edition of HBO Latino’s En Letra de Otro series. The first special, Pedro Capo: En Letra de Otro, premiered in August 2017 and went on to win a Latin Grammy® for the Best Long Form Video category. The second special, Gente de Zona: En Letra de Otro, premiered in October 2018. Both are available to stream on all HBO platforms.
